…a new individual! Serge N’sapu, a PhD candidate at Coventry University, is pleased to become part of the AEN membership and join this robust community of scholars, policy-makers, and practitioners committed to evidence-based decision-making throughout Africa. His academic and professional experiences align closely with the goals of the AEN since he is pursuing his PhD, which aims to elucidate the social, economic, and political impediments to NGO leadership in war-affected African nations, particularly the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Joining the AEN will be highly beneficial, providing him with essential tools for employing evidence synthesis and dissemination in his research and the policy-making process. Moreover, under AEN’s collaborative framework, he will have the opportunity to present his research findings and learn about the methodologies employed by others, thereby fostering innovative solutions to Africa’s challenges. On this platform, he aims to bridge the gap between research and practice; therefore, his work will extend beyond the generation of academic knowledge to influence policy and enhance the leadership and effectiveness of NGOs in evidence-based strategies for conflict resilience. Therefore, he is incorporating development into his work in Africa. Serge eagerly anticipates becoming a member of this dynamic network, which will enhance his abilities, enable him to make a positive influence, and allow him to collaborate with others dedicated to fostering positive change in Africa.
