The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) presents a Gender Responsive Evidence-Informed Policy-Making (EIP) Training Programme. Under the Learning together to Advance Evidence and Equity in Policymaking to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (LEEPS) partnership, AFIDEP refined its standard EIP curriculum, including the modules, capacity assessment tool and pre-post training test, integrating gender analysis into it. We tested the programme on three cohorts of government policymakers and one cohort of researchers using adapted delivery models – in-person workshops for policymakers and a virtual training workshop for researchers. Our presentation will showcase our Gender Responsive Evidence-Informed Policy-Making Training Programme and highlight the approach and process of developing it, what we learned from implementing it and how we adapted it based on our learning. We welcome and look forward to insights from experts on how we could further improve it.
