Title: Accessibility and use of evidence at the decentralized level in the era of the digital revolution: challenges, levers, and opportunities for Francophone Africa
Description: The use of evidence in the design and management of public policies is essential for their relevance, effectiveness, and the sustainability of their impacts. To this end, digital transformation, as distinct from the digitization of procedures, is an opportunity to promote. Such a transformation of cultures and ways of doing things could totally change the place of evidence in the formulation and implementation of public policies in Africa, and more particularly in French-speaking Africa. To sixteen this opportunity, however, it will be necessary to improve the institutional and operational environment, strengthen the technical capacities of human resources, invest in the requisite infrastructure, promote partnerships between local and national players, public-private partnerships, and so on. This presentation is from a piece of research by the institute Le Barometre and it shows the state of play in Africa, with Benin as a case study.
