The United Nations World Data Forum 2021

The third UN World Data Forum will take place in Bern, Switzerland, from 3 to 6 October 2021. It will be hosted by the Swiss Confederation, with substantive support from the Federal Statistical Office of Switzerland, under the guidance of the United Nations Statistical Commission and the High-level Group for Partnership, Coordination and Capacity-Building for Statistics for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 

Mini-Call for special topic sessions 
A proposal on one of the following topics:

  1. Innovations in agile and resilient data systems during Covid-19 (risk prevention, mitigation and recovery)
  2. Leave no one behind in Covid-19 health data
  3. Data communication and use for informed decision-making during Covid-19

Deadline to submit: 2 July 2021

Call for data stories
Short videos or visualization/infographics or graphical story/story map (web-based) to highlight data innovations and initiatives in one of the following areas:

  1. Innovate timely data for Covid-19 and the SDGs
  2. Leaving no one behind, the need to measure equity
  3. Counting on data and statistics during pandemics and other disasters
