The Global Parenting Initiative (GPI) is a collaboration of universities, NGO partners, and donors across the world, which seeks to develop and test new methods for delivering parenting programmes and take them to scale. We are seeking expressions of interest for a Capacity Sharing Lead to support our capacity sharing work in the Global South. Our Capacity Sharing Lead will be based in the Global South and will coordinate activities and facilitate South-North and South-South sharing across the GPI portfolio, including sharing between universities, between early career researchers, between training and implementing partners and donor partners, between governments, and among all of these.. To ensure that the GPI contributes to and strengthens existing platforms for knowledge sharing, the Capacity Sharing Lead will work with project leads in each of the countries to conduct a global, regional, and country mapping to identify ongoing initiatives and opportunities for complementarity and alignment. Capacity sharing within the GPI will be operationalised through a variety of playful learning exchanges including training courses, workshops, webinars, and open forums on four levels: (1) global, (2) regional, (3) national, and (4) institutional. Capacity sharing on the global level will prioritise learning across partners in different countries and regions, as well as foster further collaboration and engagement. A core aspect of this role will be to manage a capacity building and mentorship programme within the GPI for more than 50 Early Career Researchers who are primarily based in the Global South. Global capacity sharing will also include a set of learning exchanges across the GPI portfolio as well as with other LEGO Foundation and Oak Foundation partners with a goal of inclusivity and equal participation. Ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, and excel at networking. They will have excellent project management, organisational and coordinating skills; skills in developing and implementing capacity building activities; strong knowledge of the development of inter-organizational relationships; experience of research, and experience of working with international coalitions in a developmental position. We are also interested in people with experience in specific areas, such as supporting researchers to increase uptake of their evidence, experience working with academic or research institutions, and coordinating people and building networks at a global level.
