FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why has the AEN migrated to a new membership platform?
In our continuous efforts to improve your experience, we are migrating our membership database to a new AEN membership portal with a comprehensive and user-friendly interface designed for better membership management. This new platform gives you, our members, the ability to change your own profile and update it as needed. Thus, if you change employer, phone number, address, or role, you will be able to go into the portal and change these details. Nothing has changed about the nature of your membership and AEN membership remains free of charge and does not expire. See this video for more information.
2. How will my membership profile data be used?
Our new AEN membership portal will help us streamline communication and simplify membership management. The new portal will allow you to easily update your details, access your membership information, and receive timely communication and reminders. We also plan to conduct future voting (e.g., for the Africa Evidence Leadership Award) via the portal and use it for a range of consultative processes—so it is important for your details to be up-to-date and easy to manage.
3. Who do I contact if I have a problem with my membership or profile?
Please contact info@africaevidencenetwork.org
4. Do I have to pay membership fees?
No, membership is free.
5. Will my membership expire?
No, your membership will not expire. Remember, when you move to a new position to change your profile on the website.
6. What else has changed?
The AEN website now integrates several types of software for an integrated experience. Our website is run on Word Press. Our membership portal is powered by Join It. These are integrated with MailChimp for our newsletters, with Eventbrite for events and finally with Google Analytics to analyze the data.
Only together can evidence-informed decision-making become a reality.
