The theme of the conference is “Advancing evidence synthesis for health decision-making in Africa: Promoting health equity and access“.

The sub-themes for the event are as follows:

  1. Strengthening the Evidence-Policy Nexus (Evidence for informing guidelines, building capacity for evidence use indecision making, Evidence ecosystem)

  2. Enhancing capacity for evidence synthesis and informed decision making

  3. Embracing Innovation in Evidence Synthesis

This event aims to bring together researchers, health professionals, policy-makers, national, regional and international stakeholders, evidence-based healthcare champions, Cochrane Africa collaborators, patient and community advocates, and students to discuss progress, opportunities, and the future of evidence synthesis in Africa.

The Indaba will be a two-day in person event featuring a mix of plenary sessions, interactive workshops, panel discussions, poster presentations and networking events.
