The HUb LAC is developing a dynamic mapping of professionals and organizations to strengthen the regional ecosystem for Evidence-Informed Policymaking (EIPm). Inspired by AEN and EVIPNet, this initiative maps evidence actors, capacities, and gaps, while fostering collaboration, resource mobilization, and inclusive approaches.
We used a mixed-methods design combining a three-language online stakeholder survey with semi-structured interviews. Data collection covered focus areas, sectors, activities, evidence use, communication, and collaboration interests. Between 2024 and 2025, we received 125 survey responses from 15 countries, spanning government, academia, civil society, NGOs, and the private sector. The most frequently cited domains were health, education, innovation, public management, environment, and human rights. We selected ten interviewees for in-depth follow-up.
This growing knowledge base provides a first regional EIPM landscape and will help set priorities, strengthen partnerships, and guide next steps, including expanded mapping in the coming years.
