On 30 July 2025, the Africa Evidence Network (AEN) hosted a webinar which explored the role of the #AENManifesto on capacity development for evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) in Africa.
This webinar provided a platform for evidence producers, intermediaries, and users to share their experiences and insights on how the Manifesto is being used to enhance EIDM in Africa. We explored the successes, challenges, and lessons learned from implementing the Manifesto, as well as discussed potential future directions for capacity development initiatives.
During the webinar, we discussed how the Manifesto aligns with the themes and objectives of Evidence 2025 and how it can be leveraged to promote EIDM in Africa. Our panel of experts shared their perspectives on the role of the Manifesto in enhancing EIDM, and we had an open discussion on the implications of the Manifesto for the African evidence ecosystem.
