…a new individual! Aminata Diagne Barre recently joined the Africa Evidence Network (AEN). She is particularly interested in engaging with the AEN to contribute to collective learning, share experiences, and advance evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) across the continent. Fully bilingual in French and English, Aminata operates across regional and international contexts, contributing to initiatives that strengthen the link between knowledge, policy, and impact.

Aminata is a policy, research, knowledge management, and strategic communication expert with over 15 years of experience supporting development, humanitarian, and policy processes across West and Central Africa. She is the Founder of CONECTIKA, a Dakar-based organisation dedicated to strengthening the impact of development programmes, public policies, and civil society action through evidence-driven approaches, knowledge integration, and multi-stakeholder engagement.

Her work focuses on bridging the gap between research, practice, and decision-making, ensuring that data, local knowledge, and field experience are translated into actionable insights that inform policies and strategies. She has led and contributed to numerous initiatives in policy analysis, program evaluation, advocacy strategy, and knowledge production, collaborating with international organisations, universities, NGOs, research institutions, and UN agencies.

Aminata has particular expertise in facilitating regional coordination, designing and delivering learning and knowledge-sharing processes, and producing high-quality outputs, including policy briefs, position papers, and strategic reports. She has also supported networks and platforms in strengthening their advocacy influence, amplifying diverse voices, and fostering collaboration across sectors and countries.

Through CONECTIKA, she promotes the use of evidence as a lever for social and institutional transformation, with a strong commitment to inclusive and sustainable development. Her approach emphasises participation, local ownership, and the integration of diverse perspectives into decision-making processes.
