AEYL Amplifies African Voices in World Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC) Day Social Media Takeover
The Africa Evidence Youth League (AEYL) will join the global community in celebrating World EBHC Day 2026 with a social media takeover centred on this year’s theme, “Evidence and AI: People at the Centre.”
Tune in on 20 October 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00 (UTC+2), on the official World EBHC Day LinkedIn and Instagram
AEYL has been selected as a World EBHC Day 2026 campaign partner under the Emerging Leaders category, recognising the importance of amplifying young voices and perspectives in advancing evidence-based healthcare.
The takeover will highlight the importance of evidence-informed healthcare in strengthening health systems, improving decision-making and achieving better outcomes for people and communities across Africa. Through educational infographics, campaign messages and contributions from emerging evidence leaders, AEYL will explore the opportunities and risks that artificial intelligence presents for evidence use, while emphasising the importance of keeping people, equity and lived experience at the centre of healthcare decisions.
The campaign will also spotlight the role of young researchers, practitioners and knowledge brokers in connecting evidence with decision-makers, making knowledge more accessible and championing inclusive, evidence-informed action.
By bringing youth perspectives into a global conversation, AEYL reaffirms its commitment to nurturing emerging evidence leaders and strengthening evidence-informed decision-making across the continent.
From Africa to the world, let’s keep people at the centre of evidence-informed decision-making.
