The 2026 Africa Evidence Youth League (AEYL) cohort is here!
We are excited to welcome the 2026 AEYL cohort, a vibrant community of 41 emerging evidence leaders dedicated to advancing evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) across Africa.
This year’s cohort brings together 21 new members and 20 returning members, creating a dynamic network that combines fresh perspectives with valuable experience. Together, they represent the next generation of evidence leaders committed to strengthening the use of evidence in policy, practice, and sustainable development. This new cohort represents 16 countries; 58% are women, 56% are first-generation university graduates, and together our members speak 12 languages. These figures represent more than statistics, they reflect a community that values diversity and inclusion.
These young professionals will learn, collaborate, and contribute to building stronger evidence ecosystems across the continent.
