The 4th International Conference on Science Advice to Governments (INGSA) 2021

All political and government representatives, academics, community leaders, NGO officers and private sector actors are invited to take part in the 4th International Conference on Science Advice to Governments, INGSA2021 — Build Back Wiser: Knowledge, Policy and Publics in Dialogue, with the support of the Chief Science Advisor of Canada, Mona Nemer, will take place in a hybrid and virtual format at Palais des congrès de Montréal, Québec, Canada.

INGSA2021 will bring together more than 1,500 political representatives, diplomats and government science advisors to promote scientific expertise and the use of scientific knowledge in informing policy decisions in an increasingly complex world. INGSA2021 will examine the complex interactions between scientists, public policy and diplomatic relations at local, national and international levels, including in times of crisis, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.

It will be an opportunity to continue discussions on the United Nations sustainable development goals, the role of cities and municipalities in the appropriation and implementation of evidence and research, the importance of open science and access to data, and finally, the relationship of trust between decision-makers, scientists and the general public.
